ABC's - Aggie
I'm a member of the Orphan's Club -- if both your parents are dead you are a member too. It is not a club that most people want to be in, but most of us eventually become members.
This photo is my mother riding "Goldie" a bike that my sister and I learned to ride and then she was passed on to other people for them to learn to ride. Here Aggie is showing how to work the bike -- the results were not as brilliant as this picture!
Seeing her riding the bike in her apron and tennies is so funny and so typical -- those of you that knew her will instantly recall how funny she was and how these type of events were really pretty standard.
My sister and I were looking through things from our parent's house this past weekend, and we both had come to the conclusion that when the pain is fresh at the beginning of your Orphan's Club membership you tend to want to keep everything. As time marches on, you need less of the physical things and really start appreciating the memories and stories more.
If you have a tale about Aggie or your own parents, please share them in the comments or on Facebook.
Thanks for coming past and hope you have a great day!
